I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
